The eclectic group of Wichita (Emma Stone), Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) returns. In the post-apocalyptic world dominated by the chaos that they have lived, they must face a new zombie threat. This time, zombie hunters will have to face new types of zombies, as well as some new human survivors. Of course, the most complicated thing will be how to manage this unique and improvised family.

Also repeated as scriptwriters Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, tandem responsible for the script of Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018), in addition to Dave Callaham (The Mercenaries). The film again features actors Woody Harrelson (Three Ads Outside), Jesse Eisenberg (Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice), Emma Stone (The Favorite) and Abigail Breslin (The Ender Game). They complete the cast Rosario Dawson (Jane the Virgin), Avan Jogia (The New Love), Zoey Deutch (Rebel in the Rye), Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) and Luke Wilson (The Girl Who Invented Kissing).
