Years after retiring from the military and starting a family, a former special forces member is overwhelmed by mortgage payments and the monotonous suburban life of dropping the kids off at school and having backyard barbecues. His emergence from retirement leads him to accept a security job, providing protection to a journalist who has the dangerous assignment of interviewing a cruel dictator who may or may not have ordered an attack on him and his men. The outbreak of a military coup during the course of the interview forces the three to try to escape through the jungle, having to survive the elements, the military and even themselves.
