Stephen Daldry (Trash. Thieves of Hope, The Reader, The Hours) is responsible for directing this film based on the hit Broadway musical Wicked: The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz, based on the novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked: Memoirs of a Wicked Witch, a parallel story to L. Frank Baum’s literary classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and the classic 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.
