As summer approaches, children from all over the United States return for another year of AdirondACTS, a rudimentary drama camp in upstate New York. A paradise for children with artistic aspirations. However, its indomitable founder Joan (Amy Sedaris) falls into a coma, so the task of keeping the center running falls to her clueless son Troy (Jimmy Tatro). Troy must join forces with the rest of the eccentric teachers, including Amos (Ben Platt) and Rebecca-Diane (Molly Gordon), to keep the camp running for the kids despite being on the brink of financial bankruptcy.
