Philip is a paralyzed billionaire who sees how the mountains of money can not buy his mobility and feels that his life is no longer worth living. To help him get past his everyday routine, he carries out a series of interviews with a nurses and a freshly released African-American prisoner who is forced to find a place work or at least show evidence that he is trying to find one. He goes to Philip just to get proof of his participation in the interview, not having the intention of truly engaging, but Philip decides that it is what he needs and hires. What begins as a professional relationship, the two develop a close friendship, and Dell shows the bloody billionaire that life deserves to be lived.
