Harold’s (Jim Broadbent) life has been unremarkable, he has always been a normal, common man who has lived his existence without any kind of importance. One morning when he wakes up in his house he receives an unusual letter, this fact will make him embark on a long journey. The current Harold will travel 450 miles through his country, the United Kingdom, in an effort to save the life of one of his only friends, Queenie, who is slowly dying in a hospice without money or any outside help.
