Based on an internationally well-known novel, the film presents a true story about madness, genius and obsession that centers on two remarkable men who have created history together by writing the English Oxford Dictionary. The beginning of this dictionary was in 1857 and then represented one of the most ambitious and revolutionary projects in history. Professor James Murray assumed this challenge knowing that it would be possible for him and his team a century to gather all known definitions. However, due to the work to which people outside his team could participate, he gets definitions from all over the world, and completing it in a few decades. When it was discovered that more than 10,000 definitions came from one person, the Murray-led committee insisted on offering him a prize and finding a shocking truth.
