1968. Donald Crowhurst, a surfing British businessman, is on the verge of bankruptcy. In order to save his business and to take part in the adventure he dreams for a long time, he decides to participate in a sea competition and win the big prize. Fully supported by his wife and children, Donald embarks on this terrible odyssey all over the world. But Donald, inadequately prepared, faces a lot of difficulties, is afraid he will not be able to finish this competition or win the big prize.
