The father tells the story of Anthony (Anthony Hopkins) a man who is gradually losing consciousness of his reality because of dementia, increasingly forgetting everything and everyone around him. His increasingly dry character has caused the last caregiver to leave his position, making his daughter Anne (Olivia Colman) take care of him. But he has to find a solution soon, since soon he plans to move to Paris with the love of his life and has to find someone to take care of him, finally finding Lucy (Evie Wray).
Through subtle changes in his environment, changing faces, and mixed stories, Anthony’s world is seen to change in his own mind.
