Twenty-four years ago, Nora (Greta Lee) left Korea as a twelve-year-old girl with her parents, and with them her childhood friend Hae Sung (Teo Yoo). Twelve years later, both meet again through the Internet. But they never reached more than daily messages and hour-long video calls. She did not want to leave her new home in New York, where she was taking her first steps as a playwright. He was attracted to his mechanical engineering studies in China to spend a semester abroad and not in the United States. But after time, Hae Sung travels for a week to New York, where Nora has already been happily married to Arthur (John Magaro) for seven years.
