Christopher Nolan is in charge of directing this film focused on the figure of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the man who developed the atomic bomb. This American theoretical physicist, and director of the secret Los Alamos laboratory during the war, was heavily involved in the Manhattan Project, which is credited with developing the first nuclear weapons used to bomb the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
