Ten years later, the characters in the musical film Mamma Mia! (2008) return to the magical Greek island of Kalokairi. At the same time that we will know what the present of Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) is like, whose life is about to change to the joy of all, we will travel to the past. In that magical summer of the late 70s, we will discover a young and passionate Donna (Lily James), accompanied by her two best friends, and how relationships were forged with the three men in her life.
Ol Parker (Now and Forever, Red Roses) directs this second installment of Mamma Mia! (2008). The film recounts with the members of the original cast formed by Meryl Streep (The Pentagon Files), Amanda Seyfried (Twin Peaks), Pierce Brosnan (Coup), Colin Firth (Kingsman: The Golden Circle), Stellan Skarsgård (A traitor like ours), Christine Baranski (The great mess (Bad mothers 2)) and Julie Walters (Paddington 2). Younger versions of the leads are played by Lily James (Baby Driver) as Donna, Jessica Keenan Wynn (Billions) as Tanya, Alexa Davies (The Sense of an Ending) as Rosie, Jeremy Irvine (War Horse) as Sam, Hugh Skinner ( Date in the Park) as Harry and Josh Dylan (Allies) as Bill. Also joining the cast are Andy Garcia (Geostorm) and singer Cher (Burlesque).
