The protagonists of the film are an ordinary couple, with their respective jobs and their two children. When summer arrives they decide to rent a house in a remote corner of Long Island. However, one night the owners of the house appear due to a supposed emergency, at the same time the power goes out in all the surroundings. The couple begins to feel afraid, since they have no way to communicate with the outside world, can they really trust their hosts?
