At the beginning of the 20th century, the Osage Nation of Oklahoma became among the richest people in the world overnight thanks to the discovery of oil. His sudden wealth instantly attracts the other richest people on the planet, white people. His arrival involves a wave of manipulation, extortion and robbery against the people of the Osage Nation in order to get their hands on their money, until finally some mysterious murders occur in the area that raise all the alarms. The brutal event leads there to the FBI led by J. Edgar Hoover, while in parallel an unlikely romance occurs between a war veteran, Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio) and Mollie Kyle (Lily Gladstone), one of the natives of the Oklahoma tribe.
