Will is a young girl whose girlfriend is pregnant and goes home to her parents to talk to her father who has little heart in hopes of getting her blessing for marriage. Things do not even happen as he would, because the veteran war veteran is not easily induced, but more serious than this is that a cataclysmic event occurs while Samantha is alone in an area dangerous where no rule of law exists, and chaos is at every step. Will and the future father-in-law leave aside their resentment and set off to Samantha with the car through dangerous ground to save her.
