This sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021), and the fifth film in the Ghostbusters franchise, takes us back to New York, to the iconic firehouse where it all began. There, a new generation of Ghostbusters formed by Trevor (Finn Wolfhard) and Phoebe (McKenna Grace), the grandchildren of the late Egon Spengler, will follow in their grandfather’s footsteps and learn how to capture ghosts alongside their mother Callie (Carrie Coon) and Gary Grooberson (Paul Rudd), the seismology professor and hobbyist.

This time, the threat is called the Phantom Chill. For the first time in history, people have frozen to death in the middle of July when a deadly ice storm hits New York City. That’s when the new Ghostbusters, with the help of the veterans, join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
