Guy (Ryan Reynolds) works as a bank teller, he is a cheerful and lonely guy who dresses impeccably, and who is not going to be bitter about his day. It doesn’t matter if he is trampled, run over, or used as a hostage during a robbery of his bank, he continues smiling as if nothing happened. Of course, one day, he will realize that Free City is not exactly the city that he believed. Guy is going to discover that he is actually a non-playable character in a brutal open-world video game. Now that he knows he is a video game character, Guy, accompanied by Molotov Girl (Jodie Comer), will decide to face all the villains that plague the city.
This action comedy is directed by Shawn Levy, producer of the Stranger Things series and director of the Night at the Museum film trilogy.
