Ray Torrance is a pilot who has to face an emergency landing when he flies a commercial passenger plane, damaged by a huge storm. But the place where he lands is a war zone between two opposing factions of paramilitary groups, who upon seeing the plane decide to compete over who of the two groups takes control of the plane and its passengers as hostages.
