When Maddie (Jennifer Lawrence) is about to lose her lifelong home to her crippling debts, she reads a flashy job ad: wealthy, controlling parents are looking for someone to date their abusive 19-year-old son, Percy, before he entered the University. Faced with the possibility of easy money, Maddie accepts the job, but to her surprise she soon discovers that Percy is not clumsy.
