In 1941, music-loving sisters Thomasina (Emma Appleton) and Martha Hanbury (Stefanie Martini) build a machine called LOLA that can intercept radio and television broadcasts from the future. Although at first the sisters use the machine for small things, like becoming early fans of the 1970s music scene, they soon realize that the machine could be the key to defeating the Nazis. LOLA proves to be extremely effective in changing the course of the war, but when Thomasina begins to get carried away by the machine’s power over the future, the sisters soon discover the world-changing consequences of their actions.
